Max length : 9.5 cm SL male/unsexed; (Ref. 101566); max. published weight: 19.40 g (Ref. 101566)

Short description Morphology | Morphometrics

Dorsal soft rays (total): 8; Anal soft rays: 26 - 27; Vertebrae: 38 - 39. This species is distinguished from its congeners, except H. divisorensis, by the presence of a wide black asymmetrical spot covering base of caudal-fin rays and extending along entire length of caudal-fin rays 9 to 12-13. It differs from H. divisorensis by the absence of a black band in the lower half of the caudal peduncle from the region above the last anal-fin rays to the caudal-fin base, and by the smaller number of scales along anal-fin base scale sheath (15-16 vs. 17-22) (Ref. 85819).

Estimates based on models

Phylogenetic diversity index (Ref. 82804):  PD50 = 0.5000   [Uniqueness, from 0.5 = low to 2.0 = high].
Bayesian length-weight: a=0.01023 (0.00549 - 0.01908), b=3.14 (2.98 - 3.30), in cm total length, based on LWR estimates for this species & (Sub)family-body (Ref. 93245).
Trophic level (Ref. 69278):  3.0   ±0.4 se; based on size and trophs of closest relatives
Resilience (Ref. 120179):  High, minimum population doubling time less than 15 months (Preliminary K or Fecundity.).
Fishing Vulnerability (Ref. 59153):  Low vulnerability (10 of 100).
