At 7.5 mm, mouth large with prominent upper and lower jaws. The cleft of the mouth is located slightly towards the ventral profile of the head. Pectoral fins not developed. Preanal myomeres 9-10, postanal myomeres 15-16. Caudal fin somewhat truncated. At 16 mm, mouth becomes inferior, and 4 free pectoral filamentous rays are visible. Caudal fin moderately forked. Pigmentation: A black pigment spot is present at the nape region. |
