Max. size:  35 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine
Distribution:  Eastern Pacific: Mexico to northern Ecuador.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits sandy coasts and bays, also in the surf zone (Ref. 9118). Feeds on crabs, other crustaceans and marine worms (Ref. 9118). Good food fish (Ref. 9118).
