Max. size:  35 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 20 - 240 m
Distribution:  Southern Ocean: known only from Cumberland and Stromness bays in South Georgia.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 6-6; Dorsal soft rays (total): 33-38; Anal soft rays: 31-34
Biology:  Feeds primarily on fish eggs. Other less important food items are amphipods, decapods, fishes, isopods, polychaetes and nemerteans.
