Distribution:  Western Indian Ocean: Natal, South Africa.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 8-9; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 7-7. Specimens in alcohol greyish brown with small pale spots and smaller pale dots above; white stripe on posterior part of upper lateral line; belly and fins white (Ref. 11228).
