Family:  Atherinidae (Silversides), subfamily: Atherinomorinae
Max. size:  3.2 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  pelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Africa: Ambilobe district, northwest of Madagascar.
Diagnosis:  In life Teramulus waterloti is translucent and bluish overall, rust colored on the ventral flanks, with a prominent iridescent midlateral band; the first dorsal fin is black (Ref. 56176).
Biology:
