Max. size:  8.8 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater; pH range: 6 - 7; dH range: 7 - 10,
Distribution:  Africa: rapids near Kinsuka (lower Congo River) in Republic of Congo and Democratic Republic of the Congo (Ref. 52307, 104438).
Diagnosis:  Diagnosis: differs from congeners, with the exception of the much vertically-compressed T. depressum, by possessing more body scales with openings for the laterosensory system (49-58)(Ref. 52307). Description: body slender, rounded and very elongated; swim bladder reduced; scales very small; a single lateral line (Ref. 52307).
Biology:  Rheophilic; pair-bonding, cave spawner (Ref. 52307). Maximum TL was recorded at 11.0 cm (Ref. 5703).
