Max. size: 
Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 3 - 25 m
Distribution:  Mediterranean Sea: southern Adriatic Sea, Tyrrhenian Sea. Also known from the Black Sea and Sea of Azov.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found in inshore algae-weed rubble or reef areas (Ref. 126547). Ovoviviparous (Ref. 205). The male carries the eggs in a brood pouch which is found under the tail (Ref. 205).
