Family:  Scorpaenidae (Scorpionfishes or rockfishes), subfamily: Scorpaeninae
Max. size:  10 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 3 - 35 m
Distribution:  Eastern Atlantic: St. Paul's Rocks, St. Helena and Ascension Islands.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs inshore (Ref. 4510) and has been collected from caves and crevices (Ref. 13121). Usually found among rocks below 3 m depth, small individuals may inhabit rubble (Ref. 86997).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 14 July 2014 Ref. (130435)
