Family:  Notosudidae (Waryfishes)
Max. size:  20 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  pelagic-oceanic; marine; depth range 0 - 700 m
Distribution:  Atlantic, Indian and Pacific.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Epipelagic to mesopelagic species (Ref. 6602). Feeding adults are found on the continental slope in 400-500 m (Ref. 6602).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 12 October 2018 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
