Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  South America: Amazon River basin, along the Solimões Amazon River between about Manacapuru and Santarém; Rupununi River in the Essequibo River drainage in Guyana.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits rivers.
