Max. size:  7.5 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  pelagic; freshwater; brackish; pH range: 6.5 - 7.5; dH range: 4 - 15, non-migratory
Distribution:  Asia: Kerala, India.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs in lentic environment (Ref. 41236). Found in ditches and swamps. Eggs shrink to the bottom and were then collected by one or both parents and were embedded among the foam bubbles in the nest (Ref. 41595).
