Distribution:  Western Central Pacific: New Caledonia.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 11-11; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 11-11; Vertebrae: 46-46. Black band on upper caudal fin lobe and a black posterior margin on the lower lobe, 48 pored lateral line scales, 46 vertebrae, and a narrower interorbital (width 4.0% of HL) (Ref. 49923). Pectoral fin short, not reaching to end of dorsal fin base (Ref. 49923).
