Environment:  bathydemersal; marine; depth range 735 - 1080 m
Distribution:  Southern Ocean: Princess Astrid Coast, south-eastern Lazarev Sea (Ref. 5196) and the Weddell Sea (Ref. 36325).
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 66-66; Anal soft rays: 61-61. Pectoral fin without rudimentary rays; subterminal mouth with a snout that scarcely projects; anterior pair of mandibular pores very closely set, opening in a shallow transversal oval pit (Ref. 36325).
Biology:  Feeds on amphipods (Ref. 36325).
