Max. size:  3.4 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater; brackish, non-migratory
Distribution:  Africa: endemic to northeastern Madagascar.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found in small freshwater and slightly brackish brooks and creeks under forest cover (Ref. 3788); prefers to live close to the sea (Ref. 31267). Not a seasonal killifish (Ref. 27139).
IUCN Red List Status: Extinct (EX); Date assessed: 30 June 2016 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
