Family:  Mugilidae (Mullets)
Max. size:  25 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  reef-associated; brackish; marine
Distribution:  Indo-West Pacific: Africa to the Mariana Islands.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found in coastal waters and estuaries (Ref. 40488). Form shoals over mudflats (Ref. 40488). Oviparous, eggs are pelagic and non-adhesive (Ref. 205).
