Distribution:  Eastern Central Pacific: Monterey Bay in California, USA to northern Baja California, Mexico.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 9-9; Dorsal soft rays (total): 16-18; Anal soft rays: 11-13
Biology:  Occurs from intertidal rocky areas to about 30 m depth.
