Environment:  demersal; freshwater
Distribution:  Asia: outlet of subterranean water near Town of Rongshui County and Xia’ao Township, Du’an County in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 12-12; Anal soft rays: 9-9; Vertebrae: 34-36. Distinguished from other species by having the following characters: head flat at dorsum; eyes degenerate; lips slightly furrowed; dorsal fin origin before pelvic-fin origin; upper and lower edges of caudal peduncle with high caudal-adipose keels; dorsal adipose crest from above anal-fin origin and confluent with caudal fin; ventral crest from anal-fin base and confluent with caudal fin; posterior of body with tiny scales; 8 supraorbital pores, 4+8 infraorbital pores on cephalic lateral-line system; caudal fin forked; vertebrae 4+30~32 (Ref. 75196).
