Max. size:  10 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater; pH range: 7.5 - 9; dH range: 10 - 25; depth range 30 - 45 m,
Distribution:  Africa: endemic to and widely distributed in Lake Tanganyika (Ref. 46829, 93973).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found at depths from 30 to 45 metres (Ref. 93973). Rarely found in water shallower than 30 metres (Ref. 46829, 93973). Most often found at bottom edge of rocky habitat where it meets the sandy/muddy substrate; most often seen solitary (Ref. 46829).
