Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 84 - 172 m
Distribution:  Indo-West Pacific: Myanmar and the South China Sea.
Diagnosis:  Body depth 29-33% SL; with a large blotch behind head above pectoral fins and no other distinct markings elsewhere; scales about 85-95 vertical rows on body (Ref. 39597).
