Environment:  bathydemersal; marine; depth range 45 - 640 m
Distribution:  Western Atlantic: known from five closely situated localities off northeastern Brazil, from Pernambuco to Bahia.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Common species (Ref. 34024) feeding on crustaceans (Ref. 32505). Oviparous, with oval pelagic eggs floating in a gelatinous mass (Ref. 205).
