Max. size:  12 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  reef-associated; marine
Distribution:  Western Indian Ocean: Inhaca Island, Mozambique to Great Fish Point, South Africa.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 21-24; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 0-0
Biology:  Found in reef areas and tide pools. Ovoviviparous (Ref. 205). The male carries the eggs in a brood pouch which is found under the tail (Ref. 205).

Threat to humans:  harmless
