Environment:  demersal; freshwater
Distribution:  Africa: Endemic to and occurring throughout Lake Malawi.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found on shallow vegetated habitat. Feeds on invertebrates and probably insect larvae that are mostly found on 'dead' edge near rocks and close to the roots of weeds (Ref. 5595).
