Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Oceania: known only from Kali, Ejava and Oivi creeks, about 12-15 km east of Kokoda, Papua New Guinea.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 8-9; Dorsal soft rays (total): 10-11; Anal spines: 1-1; Anal soft rays: 11-12
Biology:  Inhabits small, clear, rainforest streams, in foot-hills with an altitude of about 280-350 m.
