Max. size:  5.3 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; brackish; marine
Distribution:  Western Central Atlantic: southeastern Mexico and Costa Rica.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 24-27; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 34-40; Vertebrae: 66-69. Mostly brown, heavily stippled with melanophores; belly white; 3 dark lines radiating from eye; dark stripe along base of anal fin (Ref. 26938).
