Distribution:  Africa: Endemic to Chisumulu Island in the northeastern part of the Lake Malawi.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found mainly in the sediment-rich rocky biotope and is frequently occurs over sand in the intermediate habitat. Feeds on plankton in the open water. Remains close to rocks while foraging. Territorial males feed from rock biocover (Ref. 5595).
