Environment:  bathypelagic; marine; depth range 50 - 400 m
Distribution:  Northwest Pacific: Toyama Bay, Pacific coast of Honshu southward to adjacent waters of Ryukyu Islands and Ogasawara Islands in Japan. Eastern Central Pacific: Hawaii.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 10-11; Anal soft rays: 21-24; Vertebrae: 32-34
Biology:  Benthopelagic (Ref. 58302).
