Environment:  demersal; freshwater
Distribution:  Africa: Nkhota Kota area, possibly more widespread.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  It appears to occur in shallow water with swards of Vallisneria (Ref. 267). Feeds on invertebrates and diatoms (Ref. 5595).

Threat to humans:  harmless
