Max. size:  12.3 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 47 - 117 m
Distribution:  Eastern Atlantic: Portugal to Mauritania, western Mediterranean (Alboran Sea), and off northern Namibia.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs offshore on muddy sand or mud (Ref. 5299).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 15 July 2014 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
