Max. size:  7 cm TL (male/unsexed); 4 cm TL (female)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater,
Distribution:  Africa: Endemic to Katibili Bay, Lake Tanganyika.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Has probably never been imported because of its narrow distribution at Katibili Bay (Ref. 7343).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 31 January 2006 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
