Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 12-14; Anal soft rays: 8-8
Biology:  Occurs in fast flowing rocky stretches of river and deeper pools in the mainstream of the River Ruo above Zoa Falls. Occurs together with V. dimidiatus.
