Max. size:  27 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater,
Distribution:  Africa: only known by the holotype from Lake Luhondo in Rwanda (Ref. 27626, 46152, 83445). Should be considered as extinct after introduction of tilapia and some Haplochromis in Lake Luhondo (Ref. 35818).
