Distribution:  Africa: upper Lualaba (upper Congo River basin) and Lake Tanganyika in Democratic Republic of the Congo (Ref. 26192).
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 10-10; Vertebrae: 31-32. Lips plicate, dorsal fins convex; genital orifice near the anal fin (Ref. 26192).
