Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater, potamodromous
Distribution:  Asia: India.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits fast flowing rivers and streams in forest areas (Ref. 41236). Reported to attain 60 cm TL, but the only known specimen is 23.5 cm from Nelambur in Madras Museum (Ref. 41236).
