Family:  Anthiadidae (Fairy basslets or Streamer basses)
Max. size:  45 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  reef-associated; brackish; marine; depth range 1 - 50 m
Distribution:  Western Pacific: endemic to Australia.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 10-10; Dorsal soft rays (total): 21-21; Anal spines: 3-3; Anal soft rays: 8-8. Pale pink to brown-red with indistinct banding (Ref. 9002).
Biology:  Inhabits shallow coastal and estuarine rocky reefs (Ref. 9002). Common in sponge areas, sometimes in loose aggregations (Ref. 9002).
