Family:  Characidae (Characins; tetras), subfamily: Stethaprioninae
Max. size:  3.73 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  South America: Rio Doze de Outubro of the upper rio Tapajós basin in Brazil.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found close to the margin along semilentic stretches of a shallow river with clear water, sand and scattered small stones on the bottom, with moderately submersed and riparian vegetation (Ref. 57598).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 07 November 2018 Ref. (130435)
