Distribution:  North America: Gulf drainages in the USA from Ocklockonee River in Florida and Apalachicola River in Georgia and Florida to lower Mississippi River in Mississippi and Louisiana.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits sand and silt-bottomed pools, often near riffles, in creeks and small to medium rivers.
