Max. size:  17.5 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  North America: Atlantic slope, endemic to Cuatro Cienegas, Mexico.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Aquarium conditions: pH=8, H=50, 24°C water temperature, omnivore, egg layer, needs plant and rock cover, not easy to raise in tanks. Feeds on snails and small fishes (Ref. 7335).
