Distribution:  South America: Maroni, Mana, Approuague, and Oyapock rivers.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Prefers the counter current zones and flood zones of creeks where the substrate is covered with leaves and alluvial deposits (Ref. 12225). Maximum length reported to reach 4 cm SL (Ref. 12225).
