Environment:  demersal; freshwater; pH range: 7; dH range: 8 - 15
Distribution:  Asia: India and Bangladesh.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs in slow-moving hill streams with sandy bottom (Ref. 4833), rivers and beels (Ref. 1479). A very sluggish fish.

Threat to humans:  harmless
