Max. size:  11.3 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Africa: Lake Victoria.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs in littoral zones where the substrate is hard, most known specimens from exposed sandy beaches (Ref. 4983). The stomachs which were examined contained soft parts of gastropods, insects ( chironomid and ephemerid larvae), bottom detritus (sand grains and plant tissue), and unidentifiable sludge (Ref. 558).
