Max. size:  8.7 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater; depth range 15 - 30 m
Distribution:  Africa: Lake Victoria.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs in off-shore areas with a mud bottom (Ref. 4983). The specimens which were examined contained large quantities of blue-green algae and diatoms and smaller amounts of other plant material. Fragmentary remains of Diptera larvae were found in some specimens (Ref. 558).
