Max. size:  11.5 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Africa: Lakes Edward and George and Kazinga Channel.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found near the shoreline over mud and mud-sand substrates (Ref. 4983). Feeds mainly on gastropods, particularly Melanoides tuberculata. Chironomid larvae are also eaten (Ref. 558).
