Max. size:  19.5 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater; depth range - 7 m
Distribution:  Africa: Lake Victoria.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found in areas near dense plant stands, either sheltered or exposed, with hard or soft bottoms. Possibly most abundant some distance off-shore (between 200-300 m) (Ref. 4983). Feeds on fish: Cichlidae (Haplochromis) and Cyprinidae (Ref. 558).
