Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  South America: known only from the lowland Rio Ucayali basin in Peru.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 0-0; Anal soft rays: 220-245. Color pattern with 18-24 dark brown bands separated by narrow pale interbands which are less than one-third the width of the dark bands (Ref. 49730).
Biology:  Collected from static, vegetation-choked shallow water (Ref. 49730). Feeds on aquatic invertebrates (Ref. 49730).
