Environment:  demersal; freshwater
Distribution:  Asia: Yamuna and Meghna River drainages of the lower Brahmaputra River drainage in Bangladesh.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 1-1; Dorsal soft rays (total): 6-8; Vertebrae: 32-35. Distinguished from Gogangra viridescens in having the anteroventral margin of the opercle (the particular facet with the interopercle) gently curved (vs. distinctly notched); narrower head (17.2-20.8% SL vs. 19.7-23.2; 58.2-64.8% HL vs. 65.6-76.9) and larger eye (20.3-24.8% HL vs. 16.2-20.5) (Ref. 55981).
