Environment:  demersal; freshwater; pH range: 6.80000019073486 - 7.5; dH range: 5 - 10, non-migratory
Distribution:  Central America: Cuba.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits ponds, lakes and streams but prefers clear sluggish streams. Feeds on the bottom on aquatic vegetation, diatoms, algae and insect larvae.
