Max. size:  14 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  bathydemersal; marine
Distribution:  Northwest Pacific: known only from the Kochi Prefecture, Japan.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 4-4; Dorsal soft rays (total): 9-9; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 7-7. First dorsal spine not elongate. Posterior half of lateral line on body with many upward and downward short branches. First dorsal fin with about 4 longitudinal dark lines. Attains 14 cm SL.
Biology:  Found on shelf edges (Ref. 43239).
