Environment:  bathydemersal; marine; depth range 219 - 1004 m
Distribution:  Western Atlantic: Gulf of Mexico, from off Louisiana, USA to Cuba and north to off Daytona Beach, Florida.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Known along the continental shelf; inhabits hard bottom areas under the Florida Current and on muddy bottoms with isolated hard substrate in the northern Gulf (Ref. 11954).
