Max. size:  11.8 cm SL (female)
Environment:  pelagic-oceanic; marine; depth range 0 - 1000 m
Distribution:  Pacific Ocean: Coral Sea, near Hawaii, and the northwest Pacific.
Diagnosis:  Barbel with three branches arising together from stem; each branch consisting of a bulblet on a short stalk, not reaching barbel tip; stem pigment extending onto proximal half of spheroidal terminal bulb; bulb with one long, beaded medial terminal filament dorsally and several shorter medial and paired lateral filaments near the tip and ventrally (Ref. 45801).
Biology:  Epi- and mesopelagic (Ref. 58302).
